How are chi flat irons better than other professional flat irons?

they really arent- they were just one of the first ones in the market.





it really depends on the texture of your hair, and how much you're willing to spend- i personally don't like CHI because of their cord defects, and how the basic CHI doesn't come with heat settings, which can be damaging to thinner hair.





For the 100 dollar range, i really like the Solia and HAI irons, which work really well and come with heat settings and floating plates, both options of which are really useful:

If you're going around the 150 range, i would really recommend the Sedu, which is wonderufl on thicker, coarse hair:

i think the king of flat irons is the GHD, but it does run for about 200 dollars- which is really expensive for a flat iron, but hey if you feel like splurging, it is THE iron to splurge on:
