How can i fix my Chi flat iron?

ok my stupid flat iron that cost over 100$ isnt working properly. is there somewhere i can send it to get fixed? does the manufacter have a repair dept? How can i fix my Chi flat iron?
I went on the chi website and found a place that had a phone number. I called them, sent it in, they fixed it and returned itHow can i fix my Chi flat iron?
It should come with a warranty. Check on the box for a phone number and contact the company and tell them your problem and you can send it to them and they will send you a new one for free..
its depends on where you got it from. Like i got mine from Ulta and it broke and they exchanged it. it might be possible for the place that you got it from to do the same thing.

What is so good about a 'chi' flat iron opposed to just a regular one?

The plates are much better for hair. However, while chi is expensive it is also made very cheap. They do not last long and are hard to return. A sedu is awesome, is about the same price as a chi and has tourmaline ceramic plates that make your hair look shiny and healthy after use! What is so good about a 'chi' flat iron opposed to just a regular one?
they are a lot better for your hair, they keep your hair from breaking and becoming more fried then a regular flat iron, but a g.h it.d is even better than a chi. it costs more but in the end would you rather have nice healthy hair or fried frizzy brittle hair? What is so good about a 'chi' flat iron opposed to just a regular one?
The ceramic plates seal the cuticle in the hair follicle (smoother for longer time) The cuticle in your hair is much like your pores on your skin. heat keeps them open and for your hair to be smooth you want them closed. The ceramic plates will do that.
Chi's have a ceramic coating. Most flat irons don't. The GOOD ones though are pure ceramic.

Bad= No ceramic.

Average= Ceramic Coating.

Good= Pure Ceramic.

Of course, all flat irons damage hair, but that is the scale if you want to get the highest quality.
Chi irons are just more user friendly, you know? It's an accessibility thing. What makes one designer, one politician, one soda better than another? It's preference, or maybe quality.
they last a long time, they get to the right temperature, they are ceramic and less damaging on your hair. but there are other brands that are just as good just do some research.
the ceramic plates and minimum breakage... the fast and easy styling =)
no that Lady's wrong! its way better and doesn't damage ur hair as bad as the other ones

i know my cousins a hair person hope i helped

They are amazing!

They heat up very quickly, not to heavy and they straighten extremely well, leaving no frizzies!
they have this ceramic ion heat transfer technology that makes your hair super straight

i just love mine.
Regular ones are fine.

You're just paying for a logo.
its supposed to be REALLY good.

  • Does a chi flat iron hurt the curliness of hair after a wile?

i recived a regular chi flat iron for christmas 2008

ever since i started using it insted of my other one i noticed that wen i wanted to wear my hair in my natural curls they were very flat and bigger curls than they had been before could this be because of my chi? cold it b ruining my curls?Does a chi flat iron hurt the curliness of hair after a wile?
when you straighten your hair too often your curls change its not the chi i have one its probably just bcuz u use it too often just use Aussie volume it will get you curls backDoes a chi flat iron hurt the curliness of hair after a wile?
If you are using a temperature of over 125 then it could be burning your hair. Burning can cause it to loose it's curl, but just using a flat iron cannot cause a change in the curl pattern. Make sure that you are using a salon quality conditioner and washing it out in cold water. This will help your hair to keep it's curl and be protected from the heat.
yes because you are training your hair to be straight stop using it for a while and your curls will return
No flat iron can do that.

    GHD vs. CHI flat irons?

I'm getting a flat iron for my birthday and i don't know which brand to get I'm not sure if I should get the GHD or the CHI. If yu know even better brands please tell me...

Thanks for the help! %26lt;3GHD vs. CHI flat irons?
    The GHD is better.

The CHI is really good, but the GHD wins.

I have the CHI and I love it, but if you have the money for a GHD then definitely get it.

You'll love the CHI too, so either ways they're both excellent straighteners.

Hope I helped you out :)GHD vs. CHI flat irons?
they are both good. i would go with the chi because its more affordable.

    Generic Vs. Chi Flat Irons?

Sally Beauty Supply has a line of generic products and use the words ';compare to'; on these products. I'm not sure of the prices, but I do know that they have flat irons and even the straightening spray. I'm wondering if anyone has tried these generic products and if they did indeed compare to the Chi.Generic Vs. Chi Flat Irons?
I have used some of the ';compare'; shampoos, conditioners and styling products and they seem to be fair to good. I honestly think there are some products that I need to buy the brand name.

As for ';compare'; flat irons? I'm not sure about that. I guess I might try it depending on the price difference, refund policy, etc. Is it worth the loss if it doesn't work.

I use the CHI flat iron and really like it. I know some friends who use ones from other makers and the results are not as good, but that might be a difference in our hair. I would stay with CHI. The stuff at Sally, I have found, has become poorer in quality and I don't trust a lot of what they sell anymore.Generic Vs. Chi Flat Irons?
Ceramic Irons are best....Sedu/Chi/ghds are all very good irons. I have a sedu and its amazing...salon results right at home.

I have had a conair 'ceramic' iron n it was horrible...never did anything n my hair was all brittle after using it..

I would recommned you to buy any one from the three above...in the long run these are worth it

    Good Luck
Always get a CHI, they don't damage your hair, they keep your hair straight all day, and they have a lifetime warranty. If you do decide to buy, I suggest you buy one from a JcPenney Salon because they have the best sales. Keep the box the iron came in, and if there is ever a problem with it, you just send the iron back in the box to the manufacturer and they fix it for free.
The CHI is the best. I have owned about 3 different irons, but i have had the CHI for the longest (about 4 years). It lasts a very long time, and is especially good for color treated hair, because it makes the color last longer because it seals it in. CHI is the only 5 star straightener in my book.

    CHI Flat Irons...again?

In addition to my previous question...I've noticed that there are a few different Chi irons out there. Which is best?CHI Flat Irons...again?
well as well as your hair length matters your hair thickness.

if you have thick hair or close to that, get the kind of CHI that just gets hotter and hotter and has absolutely no heat setting.

my hair is in the middle of thick and thin

    i use that.

and it works like a charm.CHI Flat Irons...again?
It all depends on the length of your hair. I actually do a review on CHI straighteners. If you're interested, you should check it out. It gives you some advice on how to choose the right straightener :]
Do you always wear your hair straight? If so I have the product for you!!! I have ';fluffy, fat, wavy hair'; and I like it straight. I used this permanant straightner called Thermal Ionic hair straightner for resistant hair. From Sally's. First you need a friend to do it for you. Then you wash your hair with the stuff they give you and then put a little of the conditioner on. Then have your friend apply the cream with a tinting paint brush (sold seperatly) let it sit for a while then wash it out. Blow dry until almost dry, and then straighten with a flat iron. Do it good though! Then I think you have to wash it again, and straighten again. I done this 2 1/2 months ago and I haven't had to straighten it since! My friend used the regular formula and she still has to straighten her hair and I used the formula for color treated hair first and it did NOTHING. So I strongly suggest the RESISTASNT formula, that way you wont waste money. They cost $39.00. An worth every penny!!!

    Chi Flat Irons/Straightners?

which is best for African american thick hair Chi camo Or Chi original??Chi Flat Irons/Straightners?
they're the same straightener, just one has a camo design and the other is plain black

there is no difference in performance and they both give the exact same results.Chi Flat Irons/Straightners?
all CHIs work fine i am a normal white girl with really curly hair and its really thick and longish so i use the chi turbo and it seems to work better than the original chi...
    they wouldd both work qreat
