about 5-7 minutes. lol sometimes i wonder if it gets hotter and hotter through time. Sometimes it actually does. So be sure to turn it off lol

I don't understand why people are saying 3, 5, 7 minutes because that's not true--the old school cheap irons yes..
but not the new CHI.
Gotta be ever so careful with those CHI'S...They get Very hot and can burn your hair out!!!!
