Do CHI flat irons break easily???

I've had mine for 6 and 1/2 years and I;'ve had no problem with it.


I love it and it keeps my hair shinier and healthier than if i were to use another cheap flat iron.Do CHI flat irons break easily???
i have one, i've had it for about 7months and its ok... i know 2 other people that have one and their's are ok too. but my one friend had one and it did break. it just would not get hot anymore.
